Snapchat builder Snap Inc. is denying that a CEO, Evan Spiegel, once pronounced a app is “only for abounding people” and that he doesn’t “want to enhance into bad countries like India and Spain.”
The quote, which Snap is job “ridiculous,” came from a recently unredacted justice censure by Anthony Pompliano, who served as a company’s expansion lead for a few weeks in 2015. In a complaint, Pompliano recounts a sell from a Sep 2015 assembly he had with Spiegel about a app’s general expansion plans.
Snapchat’s app ratings have taken a strike given Variety and a series of other outlets highlighted a purported quote from Spiegel final week. A torrent of amicable media posts and one-star reviews in Google and Apple’s app stores underline many users voicing their disapproval.
“This is ridiculous,” a Snap orator told Business Insider and several Indian news outlets on Sunday. “Obviously, Snapchat is for everyone! It’s accessible worldwide to download for free. Those difference were created by a discontented former employee. We are beholden for a Snapchat village in India and around a world.”
